Bones, An Experiment: Day One

God’s Design for Life-The Human Body is one of the classes Davis attends at her co-op classes.  Two classes were about bones.  She learned a couple of the major ones and some information about them.  I thought it would be neat to do an experiment since I had just completed a batch of chicken broth.

Using her 5 senses she made observations about the bone.  Then she wanted to add drawings of what the senses represent - eyes, ears, etc...

Time to add the vinegar.

Finally, she made her predictions...whoops, I see I forgot to write vinegar after "smell like".

*In case you are wondering, yes, she is wearing a swimsuit.  She's been wearing it all day despite the low 50s outside and mid 60s in the house!

School

It's here.  Our first school year, preschool at home.  Darrell and I flipped the room Tuesday night so it would be something new and exciting for Davis.  Plus, I didn't want to have the room set up and not really start school.  She LOVES it.  This week we are just doing fun activities, mostly hands on introducing some concepts we will be doing.  fun fun fun
