UNC Season Opener

We welcome college football season around here and have been lucky enough to make it to several season openers.  This year was no different.  Last year NauNa tagged along with us but this year we brought our Auntie B!  {Sorry Britt, I don't have a picture of you to post.}  :(
.    I cannot lie.  It was miserably hot that day!  I mean H.O.T. HOT... I don't remember how many times I filled up our water bottles during the game but let's just say I am glad we were sitting on the end of the row and not in the middle.  I should also mention we were in the shade.  Out of the WHOLE ENTIRE stadium we were shaded.  Ahhhh relief.  I was thankful for shade that day and the water fountain right behind us (generally speaking).

Needless to say we crushed (62-0) Elon this HOT September 1st Saturday.

Go Tar Heels!
Lawson, you were sleeping while Davis was being goofy!!  kisses

UNC Opener

Whoot whoot for college football and a team that is finally worth cheering for! Cheers for Butch Davis! Our family had the pleasure of attending the season opener against the Citadel last night with eight other great friends!! We arrived in Chapel Hill around 2.30pm for a little pre-game tailgating. Now when D attended UNC we didn't tailgate, why would we? But now, why wouldn't we! We had a blast. We enjoyed a table full of tasty foods and a cooler full of beverages! There were games of cornhole and the boards were even custom made for Tar Heel fans!

Davis enjoying some chick-fil-a party tray!
It's game time.....GO HEELS GO!!!A shot of the 2009 National Champion basketball team...this was taken from our seat...after I took this I said, "The heck with this I am going down there!"...I took Davis and we stood right beside them for a long time....during half time the team was recognized and awarded their National Championship rings! All-in-all it was a pretty neat experience...I was happy to see just how tall 6-9 is on someone (Tyler Hansbrough).
Hello Wayne Ellington...
A little Danny Green action...

Good night Bell Tower....until next time
